This art piece is telling the story of when I found out that chickens are able to swim. This year I chose to be in art because I wanted to open my love for 3D arts. I have always loved to be using my creative thoughts and to put them into something is so fun for me. While I was first building this I experienced how I can use my creative thoughts and put them on a sculpture.
This was definitely one of the most hardest things I have done in art. This art piece also showed me that I need to stay on track and if I get behind I need to go to art focus. For the media I used different types of shading pencils and a smooth shade tool.
Lets just say painting is my weak spot in art. This project was a fun time in art. However, it was one of the hardest art pieces I have tried to do. If I were to ever paint something like this again, I would do two things. First, I would pick a better picture with lesser sky. Second, I would try and pay more attention on correctly trying to blend better.
For every type of art, the 3D, the 2D, I would say clay is my favorite to create. It has so much you are able to do with your imagination. What we needed to do for this lesson was to create a jar but not make it seem like a jar. You could do anything with a block of clay. I decided to do a long cylinder to hold hair ties or anything that could fit into the jar.
We got to make a clay bowl. We could choose any details we wanted to do on the bowl, I deiced to have a circle spiral in the middle. I liked how in the examples they had some spirals around the top and in the middle or just all around. I deiced to go with two different patterns, My favorite pattern for a bowl would be the triangular are up on the sides of the bowl. So I put both of my favorite patterns together and created it to be my own.
In this lesson we were going for the point of creating a whistle and make it to represent anything we could put our minds to. I first deiced to go and try to make Pascal from the Disney movie Tangled. However I later turned it into a frog. Some people still think it of Pascal from the movie Tangled however most people still think it is a frog. This was one of the most fun lessons in art I have ever done and created in my classes of art.
I chose to do a koi fish with a yellow background because I think that it would make the blue and red pop out more. This was one of the most peaceful art projects I have done this year. The koi fish resembles many things, so I chose it for its symbols and how easy I thought it would be to draw/watercolor it. The blending of the colors was the hardest part for me to do. However I think that this was one of my most favorite pieces that I did for this year.
For the oil painting we needed to choose an insect to draw. I chose to do an ant because I thought of something strong and small. I first thought of a red ant. However I wanted to do something a little off. So I went with a velvet red and black ant. The legs were one of the hardest things to draw and blend. I had a lot of fun doing it tho!
This project was the most satifasting one and most colorful one I did this year. The macaw has many color's in its feathers. For this project we needed to make these six types of stamps using the same stamp we carved into a stamp/large eraser and used ink to create our bird and post it using different styles. I would want the students next year to do this 100 percent. It was truly one of my most favorite to do, I know I say it for a lot of projects this year, that is because I loved all of them. This art class was my most favorite class this year. I will miss doing art class with Laangmack.
