My story is about how one day I was at a friend's house and we were craving mac and cheese. I asked her if she could make some and she tried to. She put the cup of mac and cheese in the microwave without water and it caught on fire, The microwave was on fire. We panicked and threw a water cup in the microwave. The fire alarms were beeping so loud and they sent a message to the fire department. The fire department came to the house and was ready to go, only to find out it was a minor fire and no one was harmed. The fire department stayed and reviewed how to correctly put mac and cheese in the microwave. It was a fun and memorable experience.
Some techniques and skills I learned while drawing this is how to shade, how to duplicate an image and make it twice as big, also I learned how to make everything look realistic. This project aimed to make a realistic-looking drawing of your hand holding a tool. I achieved drawing the photo and making it look realistic. This drawing was hard but I learned that I can do anything I put my mind and hands to, with the help of Mr. Langmack I achieved this drawing and made it great.
This project was really fun and there were some challenges with this project. The challenges of this project were getting the colors right and having the colors blend. The colors were really hard to blend at times and when the paint dried it was even harder. the paints dried really fast and it was annoying. I liked how the palm trees came out and the background. Something that I learned about while doing this project is to have patience and really trust the process. Painting is really about being patient and calm, it's supposed to be relaxing. This Project taught me how to paint well with fast-drying paint.
This is the clay jar that I had to make in two class periods because my original one broke. The challenge of this project was shaping and picking what designs I wanted on the jar to make it not boring. there were so many ideas. Another challenge was when my first jar broke I had no idea what I wanted to do for my second one, So I decided to make it small and easy. It's not my favorite art project but it was still fun. This project taught me to be creative in such a short amount of time and to think and do whatever my heart desires when it comes to art and clay.
This is a pig clay whistle, at least that's what I was going for. This whistle kinda scares me, because it looks like it's staring into my soul. I made this whistle out of a round plain whistle. truthfully I js put my ears and eyes on it and made it somewhat look like a pig. This project was hard because of all the adding and blending of clay together. The pig wasn't hard to make because it didn't take that much additional clay and not a lot of blending. This project was kinda easy but also hard to make.
This bowl was hard to make and it took a while to make. The design was supposed to be more like a flower but they turned into more triangles. Some challenges of this bowl were when connecting each of the clay strands because they kept falling apart. The flower in the middle should have had 9 pedals but I ran out of room. Overall, this project was really fun. I like working with clay, but it was hard for this project because of all the attraction and shaping.
This is my watercolor painting. It was a struggle because it was hard to get the background to blend, also there wasn't that much detail to the photo, so it was hard to watercolor detail on the starfish. This was for sure not my best work. I hope I can do better in the future with the skills and mindset I learned from this project. I don't enjoy watercolor because you have to paint fast and usually I like to perfect things, that is why I like painting with acrylic better because you can always fix a mistake, but with watercolor, once you make a mistake it's hard to paint over it. Watercolor shows you how something can be so imperfect.
This project was enjoyable to do. I enjoyed filling in and making the dragonfly look more realistic and colorful. The hardest part of this project was the leaves, trying to blend them and creating the patterns. The white on the dragonfly was really easy and fun because I got to choose where I wanted the highlights. Oil pastel is easy and hard at the same time, the colors and blending are easy but blending other colors to get a color is hard because you have to know how much to use of one color. This is now one of my favorite parts of art, oil pastels.
This project was easy. I loved the print making the most out of this project. The cutting out and sharpening took too long for me, and I didn't enjoy it as much as putting ink on the stamp and stamping several times. My least favorite part was that I had to wash my stamp repeatedly, which was so much work. I enjoyed my school year at CVC, and I enjoyed having art in Langmaack's room. I really wish for my last project we could've done something more fun, but it's ok.
