Creative Lines
In this project we were assigned 9 random lines and we had to make a picture out of them. We started by only having to make a picture out of each line, but then we took the small boxes away and we had to make a big picture with all the lines. Thinking of something to do for the picture was the hardest part. Once I got my idea though it was smooth sailing... literally. Over all I'm pretty happy of how it turned out.
Hand Drawing
In this project we were assigned to take a picture of our hand holding a tool. I found this project very challenging, the depth and different pencils was hard for me to work with. I feel like I can imagine what I want it to look like, but I can't put it into reality. Overall I am decently happy with my project, it wasn't what I wanted, but it was still good art for me.
In this project we were assigned to paint a beautiful landscape. My project started off rough, but with some help from Mr. Langmaack I got back on the right track. Over all I'm happy with how my project turned out, I think it's been my best work of the year, I'm hoping to complete more art like this and better throughout the rest of the year.
I think the clay whistle was one of my best creations yet, it had a good sound and I'm happy with the way it looked, the only thing was that the glaze didn't look as good as I thought it would, I think I put to much glaze in some spots and too little in others. In conclusion I'm looking to make better and better art in the next semester to make pieces that I'm truly really happy with.
The clay lantern is in my opinion the most fun project yet, I enjoy working with clay and if I figure out how to glaze properly I think this would have been an amazing project. I'm really happy with how the designs turned out, but I thought the lantern would be dark blue with the rustic golden brown as highlights, not the other way around. Over all I'm really happy with how my lantern turned out and I'm sad that we only have one clay project left.
This clay bowl might have been the most fun project yet, I enjoyed layering the coils to make a great design. The only downside was that it was stressful when working with the bowl. I'm very happy with how the glaze turned out. Over all I'm really happy with how my bowl turned out and I'm really sad we're moving away from clay.
