This project wasn't my favorite, but it still was fun because we got to use a bunch of random things and make them into something cool. We also got to use AI to make images instead of using magazines to try and find everything, unlike years before us. I decided to build the time that a tornado was forming right next to our house, but luckily it never fully touched down.
I enjoyed doing this project. We took a picture of our hand and had to double it, which I thought was fun. I am happy with how mine turned out. The goal was to double a picture of our hand and shade it to be as realistic as we could get it, and I think I achieved that goal. My favorite part of this project was probably shading it and I don't think I have a least favorite part.
I was excited for this project in the beginning because I thought it'd be fun, but as we got further into the painting process I got discouraged. This project wasn't my favorite, and if I got to restart I probably would have gone with something different. My favorite part of this project is the trees and I really like the way they turned out, but I think the rest of the painting could have looked better. I'm not proud of how this project turned out, but as I look at it more, I like it more.
I didn't think I was going to like this project because I hadn't liked clay before, but I was surprised with how much I enjoyed this project. I like the shape of my jar, but I don't like how the colors turned out after being glazed. Either way, though, I thought this was a fun project, and am happy with how my jar turned out, despite the colors being different from what I was expecting.
This project was a project I was looking forward to all year. I thought this was a really fun idea, and I love the way my cow turned out. At first I couldn't get my whistle to work, but once I learned how the wind should be cut in half, I got mine to work and I could help others to get theirs to work too. The eyes on my whistle look a little strange, but it doesn't really bother me. This is definitely one one of my favorite projects.
I love the design of my bowl. I think it turned out great, except for a few cracks on the outside. I really enjoyed getting to make the three different designs before picking my favorite. The only thing I would do differently is glaze my bowl lavender instead of sooty gray.
I was surprised with this project. I thought I would hate water coloring, but I actually liked it. I liked outlining my octopus, and I liked shading it. I learned about different color schemes and making, and used the analogous color scheme with blue-green, blue, blue-purple and purple. I really like how my octopus turned out, and I'm surprised with how much I enjoyed water coloring.
I wasn't looking forward to this project because all through elementary school when we had to use oil pastels, I hated it, but this project was surprisingly fun. It wasn't my favorite, but it was enjoyable and I think mine turned out pretty good. When tracing my butterfly, I added a few flowers to fill up background space and I think that was a good decision. I like how I blended the background into the flowers to make it blurry and I liked adding the white dots to my butterfly's wings. Overall, I'm happy with how my butterfly turned out.
This project was neutral for me. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I was absent for a few days, so I had a lot of catching up to do, especially since this is our last project for the year. Carving the bird was the most stressful part, but I enjoyed the ink and making my own colors. My favorite prints are my double print, rainbow print (which are both in the picture), and my cutout print. I'm happy with how my blue jay turned out.
