When I first started this project I was a little terrified about everything. I think that I underestimated myself so much during this project. But when I started to shade I was feeling a lot better. I think that I would want to do this again, and I think that I could do better if we did it again. One thing I learned, that I quite liked doing was shading. I think that the shading is the most important part of the whole project
The practice leading up to this project was really fun to do. But when we got to this I was confused on what I should do. I saw all the rigid lines and thought of stalactites. So I decided to draw a miner lost in a cave. I think that this project really helped out with my creativity and helped me think outside the box. One thing I learned from this is how to blend the colors together to make it look smooth and blended.
The tracing of the bug was the easiest part, but when it came to the colors and blending them I had some trouble. I had to start over the background many times but then I got it to my liking. Painting the butterfly was the best part since covering up mistakes were easier. I learned how to blend acrylic paint on this project.
Clay has always been one of my favorite things to work on. I have a lot more experience with clay than paint. I had a very simple design so it didn't take me long to make. I learned how to make a stable clay project by really blending the clay.
So far this was my favorite project. Right as I got the clay to make my jar I had the idea of doing a rose. I learned how to smooth out the clay and make designs out of it.
