For this project, I drew an underwater scene with animals and objects. I think it turned out alright, I wish I had been more creative at the start, some of the things could have been better if I had thought about it more. I was proud of how I progressed with the colored pencils throughout this, I thought the shading on my jellyfish was good, and progress from when I started this. Overall I didn't think it was necessarily good or bad, some things could be better, but some things I thought I did good.
For this project we drew a realistic picture of our hand holding a tool. I did not like how this turned out in the end. The initial drawing was good, but then I did a poor job with the shading. It was most frustrating for me because I payed attention to how we were supposed to do it, but couldn't quite get it. I could have spent more time on it, and should have asked for help instead of trying to figure it out on my own. Overall it did not turn out good, but I learned a lot from this project and will have a different approach going foward to future projects.
This project was a painting of a natural landscape. I did like how parts of it turned out, but some others I did not do a good job on. I think the sky looks good and the water is ok, but the land and rocks were challenging. My biggest problem was rushing towards the end, which hindered how good the painting could have been
This project was making a bowl out of clay. I don't like how this one turned out, other than the glazing, which I do like the color of. I had some troubles early on, and had to restart a couple times, so I ended up rushing it a bit. I would also have changed the design a little, but I think it turned out alright, just the design wasn't great.
This project was making a lantern out of clay. This was the best out of the 3 clay projects, I think it turned out pretty good structurally and with the design. For the lid, I wanted to do something interesting, so I mixed 3 colors together to see what would happen. I think it looks pretty good, but the top color is pretty ugly.
This project was painting a sea animal with watercolor, and picking a color scheme. I went with a triadic color scheme with red, yellow, and blue. This is the project I am the most proud of so far, I like the contrast in lights and darks I got. The only issue was mixing some of the color because the watercolor dried so fast, but I like this project.
For this project, we made an oil pastel painting of an insect. This project was one of the hardest ones for me trying to get all the little details with the big oil pastels. I think it turned out alright once I finished the leaf, but overall not amazing because of the background. I like the ladybug, and I think this project was alright, but not very good.
This project was making a stamp of bird and printing them with various patters, papers, and colors. This was my favorite project, and I think it turned out the best. It was fun getting to cut out the stamp and then making different combinations for printing was fun.
