For this visual story art project, I wanted to make it 3D. When thinking of a story to do I thought of something I do often. What better option than boating? My goal for this project was to make it as real as possible. I achieved my goal. Making it 3D helped make it more realistic. I loved the outcome of my project, I wish I had found a picture of myself wake surfing rather than a random girl. I enjoyed doing this project over the week.
At first, I thought I could not complete this hand drawing. It looked very challenging and hard to do. Once I started practicing I realized it was easier. I loved how it came out. My goal for this project was to make it look as realistic as possible. I achieved this goal well. With the help of friends and a teacher, I learned how to do this drawing and make it look just like the picture. I loved using the different pencils with different shading. My favorite part was making the bristles of the paint brush.
I thought this project was great. Learning how to blend colors, make textures, and mix all different colors to make a series of special colors. When I originally painted this I wasn't completely satisfied with it. With that, I decided to redo the project making my trees look like trees and blending the sky more. I wanted to make this drawing as realistic and make it my version. I loved how it came out. Having it not look just like the photo is what I love about it most.
This project I had a great time doing. I learned a lot about water color throughout the process. Getting the concept of keeping the lights and going bold and dark was hard for me at first. Once I saw it multiply times I finally got it that I need to darken some spots but lets the white be white. After making it darker my turtle started coming alive. In the end this project was enjoyable and I am happy with how it looked in the end.
Playing and molding with clay is a fun, calming, and enjoyable thing to do for me. Thinking of the different designs I needed for the sides of the clay jar was one of my favorite things about this project. I needed to get creative in what I was doing. I always enjoy everyday projects that we get to do in art class. Making this clay jar was exciting to do and I can't wait to take it home.
For this whistle project, I wanted to do something cute and simple but not easy to do. I used to have ducks at my house so I was excited when I thought of the idea to do a duck. The wings were the most challenging thing to do and I tried to make them both look the same on each side. Overall, I enjoyed making this whistle and turning it into a duck.
This project had its ups and downs. thinking of a design to do was the first part and then when I was ready to have it fired some of the pieces fell off because I didn't blend it as well as I should have. Ultimately, it made it through and I walked out with a bowl in one piece. The clay bowl was fun, and I would make another one to try again.
This oil pastel was a learning curve. I was not used to doing it fast and quickly. At first, I was doing it wrong, but after trying to do it quickly, the better the painting came out. I love that I learned to correct what I was doing. Overall, I would love to do another oil pastel.
This project was something I would never have thought of doing in an art class. Going through the long process of drawing and cutting the stamp to see how we liked it was worth it. Having multiple colors and banana paper was interesting to print on. Overall, this project was fun to do, and I loved the freedom of choosing what designs we could do and colors.
