Intro to Art

Hand Drawing

For this project, I really struggled. It was really hard for me to make the lines realistic looking. Also, it was very difficult for me to get the lines in the brush realistic-looking also. But I ended up being able to find a tool that I could just run through the already made brush lines to make it have more dimension.

Insect Painting

I had a lot of fun, painting it was fun becase i have painted before but i was never able to make it look GOOD. But also with this project a strugled with making the leaves at the bottom. At first they were a bright green and let me tell you it looked ugly. But after some help from Mr. Langmack I was able to make it look a lot more realistic.

Clay Jar

The Clay Jar was something I went into not really knowing what to do. So I took an idea from a friend to make a donut. It was really fun and different, but i struggled with choosing the right colors because they dried a lot lighter. But After a couple different coats of different colors I was able to find one I thought looked good.

Clay Whistle

The clay whistle was something different. The biggest struggle I had was making the whistle to actually work. I had it but i was just blowing to hard so it wouldn't blow. But after i figured out to blow light, it worked really well. And when decorating it I was able to make a nos and a tail and ears that made it look like a pig.

Clay Bowl

The Clay Bowl was a lot of fun, I came a bit late into the project so it was a struggle to get it started. I was able to find the idea of waves or Zebra stripes, I thought that it would all flow really nice. But the biggest struggle was having to clean the bowl up after we flipped the bowl over. I tried and tried but ended up screwing it up more. So I asked for some help from a fried who was able to show me the right technique to use. We worked together and finished the bowl that I now really like.

Water Color

The Watercolor was my absolute FAVORITE I found that I really liked making the background, and adding the different types of shades of green and brown on the turtle. But my biggest struggle was adding more black pen marks i thought it would make it look to dark and it would run the watercolor. But after adding some small marks i was actually really liked how they were adding so much more to the watercolor.

Print Making

I made five different prints of the hummingbird, this is my clean print that turned out very well. But this project was a struggle for me I had such a hard time making the prints clean. I really wished I would have chosen a different bird that would have way more detail that stood out a lot more. Also, I wished I would have found a better technique for actually printing the picture.

Spot the Differences

The Spot the differences book, was a struggle. It was really hard for me to fuse the video and then switch back to photo pea. I had to have a couple people help me out when it came to a couple of the steps. Honestly I really hated that project, and I wouldn't do it again. But it as something good to learn how to do.

Foam Board Box

The foam board box was really fun for me. I was able to pick out the aesthetic of the box and I was able to carve my name into the piece of metal. A struggle for me was the cutting in the beginning. Because at first, they were very rough edges and the lengths were off by a lot. So I re-cut the foam and re-glued it. And it ended up working out very well.
