Hand Drawing Mishap
no. never again. this drawing was very stressful for me. i had a lot of ups and downs during this unit. when I first started doing the dots, i completely messed up after i was finished outlining them, and i had to completely restart. i was devestated. i was so stressed out because my table mates all looked so good and i was starting from scratch. even though i was mad i messed up, i knew it was an opportunity to make it better then it was. i've could've done better, but overall, drawing is not my strong suit
landscape painting
i dont really know how i feel about this painting. i mean i tried really hard and it took me a while to figure it out, but i feel like if i had longer, i wouldve restarted and made it better..? idk i just think i couldve made it look not as weird. laangmack helped me a lot with this project and making shapes of colors. he made us watch a lot of helpful videos about shapes of colors, shapes of colors, and shapes of colors. i had fun with this but i am very excited to move on and do something else. in conclusion, painting shapes of colors is hard.
I am actually very proud of this bowl. You can't really tell in the picture, but its a light blue with some dark blue mixed in aswell. i wish i wouldve smoothed out the slides more, but i still really like how it looks. in conclusion, i am very happy with how this turned out, even though it is a little bit different.
Clay Lantern
this is my clay lantern. i really like the deisgn on the sides and handle, but the color is a little more orange-y then i thought. i do think it is really pretty. this project was very fun and it taught me a lot with scoring, slip and how to make them stand up.
Clay Whistle
I based my clay whistle off of my cat named marie. my cat marie has a lot more grey and blended colors, but since that was very hard to do, i changed it and made it based on the cat Marie from the disney movie Aristocats. i really enjoyed making the whistle and painting the small details. the whistle part works really well and i think its very cute looking. overall, i am very proud of this whistle.
Oil Pastel Butterfly
This was not my best work at all. This project was like 3 weeks late so I was just trying to get it in atp. I spent so much time on the background but the actual butterfly looks very, very bad. The oil pastels are very hard for me to work with so it is also very messy. This wasn't very good in conclusion.
Swan Stamp
I enjoyed this project a lot. I thought mine would turn out really bad because of how small some of the dots were, but it turned out surprisingly good. It was very fun to print, even though sometimes it wouldn't work and the ink would slide around and mess it up, but the 5 final prints I had turned out very well. The only thing I would change is the glue, because if you look closely, you can see where I put the glue, and it is making me very mad. In conclusion, this was a very fun last project to do in the art class.
