Creative Lines Project

The overall goal of this project was to create a picture by using 9 lines the class chose together. This art project definitely tested my creative skills and it was fun to see my creative ideas transferred to paper. The goal was to fill the page with many colors and hope for the best, and I am happy with the result. However, I can see myself improving on things like shading, texture, details, and things like that.

Hand drawing

I will be honest with you: I was not excited when I saw this project. I had no faith in myself because I struggled with just drawing the lines of my hand. However, after getting lines down on the paper and shading one finger, I realized this might be "do-able". After tons of help from Langmaack to get me started, I was able to fill the paper. I am not happy with the final product I feel like I could have done way better with the shading but, for my first time this is ok.

Landscape Painting

I decided to pick a sunset picture that I took this summer in Hawaii. This painting was very fun to do and I thought it was interesting the texture that I created because I didn't see anybody's texture looking like mine. Compared to the other paintings mine looks very blurry and pixelated, though I think I kinda like it. I am not amazed with the results but I can say it was a very non-stressful art project. I had fun throwing colors on the paper without hesitating and seeing the texture and value it would add.

Clay Jar Mess

This project was very interesting though I found that I overcomplicated things to a point that put on stress when it wasn't needed. I started with a sculpture thingy though, a kind gentleman decided to smash it so I decided on this design. This project took me three weeks haha. This project showed that clay and I don't mix. The design is very abstract... in a way. I think many areas can be expanded with improvement. btw it all fell apart after, which I love :)

Clay Bowl

wow..just wow. this bowl was a struggle for me. I flipped it and it all fell apart. I was stressed about it because I only had about 5 more days to turn it in so I quickly thought of a new design and tried to work fast. I ended up finishing my bowl in 2 days. I honestly don't know how I did it and even Langmack was surprised too. From this project, I learned that starting over may feel like quite a task though sometimes it may be for the good.

"When Langmaac looks at your project weird, start over hehah"-Kenna's quote of the day/KQOTD

Clay Whistle Mess

I think I've concluded that I will not be a whistle maker when I grow-up. I made 8 whistles....and they all didn't whistle. It was very discouraging to see my table mates being able to whistle. I was going for a cowboy boot though it kinda looks like a deformed snoopy. I put it in the kiln and it was my 8th whistle and it broke. Soooo... You can't say I haven't tried bc I've tried 8 times.

Oil pastel Insect Painting

This project was used with oil pastels which is very difficult for me to use. This is my first time using oil pastels and I don't know how I feel about them. I would say the thing I mostly struggled with was the background. I struggled with this particular thing because the background was blurred and for me, it was very hard to fulfill that "blurry effect" Overall this project was very stressful and It took a while though in the end I would say this a a good first oil pastel project.

Underwater Watercolor

I settled on a jellyfish for my watercolor and I selected triad for my color scheme. This particular project was rigorous regardless I made sure to give it my best efforts. I settled on the idea of creating a silhouette with a black fine point pen. All-inclusive I was be fond of this project and I will gladly do it again. Yes I am an academic weapon

Bird Print Project

This Project was fun for me though the part I really enjoyed doing was carving the rubber. After carving it out I had to roll it with ink and print it which I didn find fun. I thought I would be able to keep my print plate but its low key ruined and my mom wanted it so, sorry mum.

kenna's box

This project was the last project for intro to art and I don't think i did great. I decided to pick a pattern with texture though it was hard to work with. The glue didn't hold this paper down and it ended up making it hard to make the box. I also wish I would have picked gold for my piece of metal because I  feel like this color metal clashes with my pattern
