Clay Bowl Project

Overall this project was fun, but still had a challenge to it. My choice of design about 3 times. When there was a mistake made i dint let that affect me. I just took taht mistake and fixed it to add a little bit of my own flare to it. The color I chose was a more rustic color. at first glance i did not love the look, but i think the rustic feel makes it all the better. When building and creating the edges it was fun to add my own style.

Stick Lamp

although this project may seem tedious with a lot of steps. Its simple! drill a few hole, get the reeds to the desired length and place the way you want. after applying the reeds to the desired area now would be the time to place the paper with a series of glue and patience. the only issue I came across during this projects was applying the paper i couldn't seem to get it right and straight due to the unevenness of the reeds, but over all the way it turned out was just alright.

Clay Plate

With this clay plate art project I was surprised to find out that it would take only 3 days to create and 1 day to glaze. so the process went by so fast. When working on the project tracing the disign was made easy and simple to do. When it came to scratching out the insides of each bubble my hears were dreading. The sound of the scratching was tough to deal with so my goal was to get it done as soon as i could. and i can notice that in my work. the lines aren't as crisp as others, but it still turned out better than i thought.

personal Logo

throughout the year this has been my favorite project. It was fun to reflect and think about myself in what i like, weather its music, sports, a bible verse. or even have a deeper meaning and all of these thing and attributes to me are reflected on this art piece. Shown with the m not only being my middle name marie but representin gthe moutains i grew up in washington and then the wave on the side represents the move from washington and california, but also if you look close enough it can be shown as a k for my first name. the diving board and blue is the journy of my diving seasons.

Clay Art Project

This project was taken over a series of a week, I was introdu ed to a completly new skill of art. And before i learned it look easy. I underestimated the skill and effort it took to create a really well done art project. In the end i was actually happy with not only my art is produced but also the experience. I loved the concept of all that we did, and liked the challenge.

Clay Dog

This clay project has been the most annoying project i have ever done. The four legged dog has been so hard and a struggle.  Hard to shape and hard to form due to the fact that a great Danes body is so big compared to the legs. So i struggled with the dogs legs falling off a few times and at that point it was very frustrating.

Foam Art

Crayola paint pallet, this project went alright. went pretty smoothly and fast to get done with it. It was fun using the machines and trying something that was on the more challenging side, but didnt run into to many problems.

Raku Bowl/Vase

this project took turns for good and worse. The first attemt of creating the body of the weight od the clay on tghe siides lacked stability causing me to start all the way over. when the second try came around I was paintents and did a coil a day creating a firm structure to the keep the weight of the clay. after the body was done I did the regular 3 layers of paint. I chose a sea glass green color and a lighter pink. originally I wanted to tie the colors into my kitchen, but after we fired the vase the colors didnt turn out exactly the way i wanted, but in the end i was happy with the copper look in the inside of the bowl.
