3D Art

Clay Bowl

The media we used in this project was a clay slap then we cut it out and added texture and designs then folded it together. The main struggle for me in this project was putting it together because i only put 3 sides together and waited for the last one and it ended up falling apart so now i know when you start you have to finish. I am definetly satified with how this project came out and really like the color effect of it.

Scratch Design Clay Plate

This project was way more fun and came out way better than I expected. For this project, we got to use a different type of clay that was super smooth and turned white when you fire it. I am really happy with how the final project came out and definitely love the light pink color with the flower design that I chose for my stencil.

Personal Logo

This project was probably my favorite so far. Personally the building part of it wasn't because you had to come up with a sketch of your logo and then make it 3D. The reason I liked this project so much was because we got to paint things that kind of point towards our life. I pointed this toward places i really enjoy going or things that i really enjoy doing. If I were to do this project again I would have come up with more of a plan instead of just painting and coming up with it on the spot.

Realistic Clay Animal

For this project we molded together and created a clay animal that we painted to make it realistic. This was one of my favorite project so far this year because i loved the painting part of it. The reason I did a squirrel was because I was going to bring it up to our cabin at shaver because we had a squirrel who was in the house when we first got it. This project definitely turned out better than I expected it to.

Realistic Foam Carving

This project was definitely a challenge. For this project we took a piece of foam and carved it out into an object of a choice and then we painted it to look like the object we chose. I chose to do one of the school breakfast burritos but after starting it it definitely wasn't the smartest choice because they are all different sizes and it is very difficult to color match.

Raku Vase

For this project we started off making a 2-D template of the shape that we wanted our vase. Then we got coils and and built our pot up and blended them. Then we put our pot in the kiln and then in a trash can with saw dust to make the cracks with an ashy color and change the color of our pots. This project was definitely not one of my favorites because the colors didn't come out how they were supposed to. If I did this project again I would choose different colors and a different shape.

Pottery Wheel

For a week we got to use the pottery wheel and make bowls and mugs. I am actually really happy with how these turned out and really happy with the colors. It wasn't really one of my favorite projects to do but I really did have fun doing it and getting to create something that I like.
