Clay Animal

This was my clay animal. This project was definitely one of my favorites because it allowed me to understand clay more. With the shaping, I learned to be patient and take time with the texture. I decided to do this animal because i like hippos. I used a simple gray color because I didn't want to take attention from the look of the animal. This project taught me about patience and time.

Foam Art

This was my foam art. For this project i had to shape a block of foam in a shape that I wanted. I decided to do this animal because i thought it would be cool to do a toy that is normally in the bath. The duck came out good and I was impressed by how realistic it looks. This project taught me about shaping and foam cutting.

pottery wheel

raku pot

I made a Raku Pot. The lines going up and down are symmetric. The triangles make like a X all around the pot. It taught me how to be put wood chips in a very hot pot. I enjoyed making this pot and I think it looks really cool.

wheel

For this project, I used the pottery wheel to make these pots. I learned that you need to keep a dry surface at the beginning and then during the shaping process you need to make sure they are really wet. The hardest thing about this project was centering the clay.  I loved my bowl and cup in the end.

Self portrait

For this project I used a blender, different shades of pencils, and erasers. I learned that you need to take your time on things and do little spaces at a time. The hardest part of the project was making the neck and hair separated and not making it look too blended.

Oil painting

For this project i used oil paints, paint brushes, water, paper towel and a canvas. I learned that the more you spend on it it doesn't get better. The hardest part of this project was learning how to do different textures. There a lot of different ways to move the paint brush to make it look like real texture.
