Intro to Art
Creative Lines
When I first took a look at these creative lines I originally thought that their were many opportunities to draw animals out of them. My other thoughts on this assignment is i'm not very proud of the way it turned out but i'm also not mad about it. I wish I used different colors for some of the things but considering the fact I have zero artistic skills whatsoever I think the drawing is pretty creative. #slay
Hand Drawing
When I first began drawing my hand I thought it was difficult making each dot and I thought it was going to turn out bad. One thing I do dislike is the fingers because they look odd and the finger nails look too big. Although, as a result I think that it turned out pretty good and I'm happy with it and the way it turned out in the ending.
Insect Painting
This was my second attempt painting an insect. My first attempt, I chose an insect that was way too complex and it wasn't turning out the way I wanted it too. So, I decided it would be best if i restarted with a simple insect such as a ladybug on a leaf. As a result, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Although, I do wish that the highlights on the bug looked a bit more realistic.
Clay Bowl
The design I attempted for my bowl was a sprouting flower. Although, as the project went on I kinda just started free handing it. For the final result I'm not mad at how it turned out but I wish it looked more cleaned up and not as sloppy. I do like the color I chose but I wish it was a bit lighter pink.
Clay Jar
For my clay jar I decided to do a turtle because they have been my favorite animal since I was very little. I like the way it turned out in the end and I love the heart detail inside the shell. Although, I do wish I did the body and the feet the same color because I do not like the way the color of the feet end out to be.
Clay Whistle
For my clay whistle I decided to do a blob fish because it was something I thought no one else would do. Another reason I chose to do this animal is because if it turned out ugly its not actually ugly because thats the way its supposed to be. The one thing I really dont like is the eyes. I meant to paint the outer area white and a small dot in the middle but I accidentally did the opposite and when I layered over the paint it didn't work the way it was supposed to so I think the all black eyes make it scary.
Under Water Color
I decided to paint a sea turtle for my under water color project because they are my favorite animal. Overall, I like how it turned out but there was definitely things I would change about this. One thing that I don't like about this are the eyes and the different shades of green I used, aswell as the harsh area below the shell that got too papery.
Bird Carving
I chose to do this bird for my carving project because I liked how it was cute and simple sitting on a branch. Overall, I like how the image turned out except if i were to do it again i wouldnt do the foil or the newspaper again because I think they turned out sloppy. My favorite out of the 5 is the pink, orange, and yellow ombre over pink paper.
