This was one of my favorite projects that we did. First we started off by picking a picture and then we traced it. Then we started adding color. I colored the butterfly and then the background. I used my finger to smudge the background so it would look blurry and make the butterfly pop out.
We started off by just getting a feel for the coils and playing with them then we created a design for our bowl that we transferred over to a plastic bowl with paper-towels over it. Then we started laying down coils and let it dry. We also blow dry it then we put three layers of glaze on so it could get its beautiful color.
This project started by outlining a picture of a whale. Then I put water down on the paper everywhere besides the whale. I then grabbed blue paint and painted strokes to get a wavy texture. I kept repeating that until the background was dark enough. Then I painted the whale with a dark blue and kept adding layers until it got really dark.
This project was fun and quick. It took a lot of focusing skills and just folding and cutting. I made my box for mothers day and put my mom's name on the metal part. I had to engrave it and it was pretty hard to make the Tena stand out.
This was one of my favorite projects because of the end result. You didn't only get one but you got multiple prints. You also got to pick what colors and design you wanted to do. I think this was one of my better projects and also one of my favorites.
This project was one of the hardest and challenging ones for me. I do think I could have done better with the color and painting part. We had to start from the back and work to the front which was hard. I think if I were to do this again I could to way better and learn from my mistakes.
This project was cool and fun. First of all we had to build a whistle and actually make it have sound that comes out of it. Then we had to design it and make it look cool. I like how my turned out but the glazing was a bit rough.
This project started by molding clay into a square then I cut it in half. After that I dug out the insides. Then I added the design and it went to go get heated. After that I added 3 layers of glaze and then it got heated again. After that out came the final project which I think looks pretty good.
For me this was the hardest one because you had to measure out every single line and make sure it was perfect. Then after you got all the lines down and the outline was done you still had to shade which also took a very long time. Even though it was hard I am glad we did it because it turned out good.
