Intro to Art
Clay Bowl
This project is a clay bowl, it's a bowl made out of clay coils. My favorite part about my bowl is the design while my least favorite part is that the color is light so you can see the clay a little through the glaze. I really liked the design while it is simple along with being a flower design. I chose to design my bowl to be how it was while I didn't want any holes and I wanted a flower to be included.
Water Color Project
This project is a dolphin watercolor. My favorite part about this project was doing the background. I liked doing this part while it was not super complex so it made me a little more relaxed. I choose the dolphin as my design because I love dolphins and so it made it more fun to do since I liked what I was painting.
Bird Printmaking
This project was my bird printmaking. My favorite part about this project was choosing what ink color to do on what paper. I had a lot of fun seeing all the different types of prints you can do with different inks and paper. I also liked carving out the bird because it was super satisfying.
Foam Box
For this project we made a foam box. Something I liked about this project was the size and it was a little more simple to make then some of the past projects. I liked the amount of time we had to do this project while I didn't feel rushed but didn't feel like I was sitting around. Also I liked how we had a person a,b,c, and d person and just one person per table went to the demo. I liked doing it that way because I felt like it made it easier to see how it was done when we were in a smaller group and when I wasn't the one at the demo I could finish up other parts and when they came to teach it I felt it was always explained well. In the end I liked the results even though throughout the project I felt like I wouldn't. Something I wish I could change would be the corners of the box and they could have been glued down tighter and I wish I could have pushed the letters out and made them a little more defined.
