For this project, all the people in our class drew lines, and we narrowed it down to 9 lines. The lines were spread out on a piece of paper, and we had to make a drawing of all of them. It was challenging at first, but then I got the idea of an underwater scene, and it got a lot easier. I'm really pleased with my final product, and I am very proud of it. This project makes me excited to work with colored pencils again.
This project was quite hard but also very fun. It was great to learn new techniques and tools, such as an electric eraser and blending stumps. It was also cool to see how you can draw a whole picture with just a pencil. My final product was okay but I am excited to work with pencils again to see how I can improve.
This was one of my favorite projects to work on in art so far. It was very fun to do and I absolutely loved the results. Langmaack gave me a special brush to help with making my waves and gave me lots of tips. It was a very long process. I am very happy with my grade and my results. I redid every part lots of times but the end result was very worth it. It looks realistic and looks exactly how I wanted it to.
This is my lantern project. Although it was a struggle at sometimes, I am very happy with how it turned out. I had to redo and reshape the top many times. I struggled with picking a pattern for the sides. But in the end, I'm proud of how it turned out. I like the glaze color and how the pattern looks with it. I'm glad I got this experience with clay.
This is my clay whistle. Although it was a long process, I am happy with the results. I turned my whistle into an apple! This was a last minute desicision to do so, but I'm glad I did. This has been one of my favorite projects, and I love everything about it! It whistles and looks how I wanted it too.
This is my clay bowl. This was one of the projects I liked so far. Although there were some mishaps and it took a while, I think I like it. I really like the design and the pattern of the clay itself. The glaze, on the other hand, was a bit of a struggle. The inside color ran out and so I had to switch colors half way through. The colors are a little strange, but I still think the bowl overall is very good, and I'm proud of how it turned out.
This is my underwater color. For my animal, I chose to do a whale shark. This is one of my favorite sea animals. I think it turned out really well. I feel like it could have been better, but in the wise words of Langmaack, "sometimes you just need to give up on watercolor." This has been one of my favorite projects to do, and I'm happy I got to do it. I asked for lots of help, and I think it paid off.
