New skills and techniques I learned from this project was learning how to shade with colored pencil, and being creative by making a scene from random lines. Something that inspired me was seeing all the ones from previous years and seeing how well they did. 

I learned a lot of new techniques and skills during this project, and one of them was shading. I knew the idea of shading and kind of how to do it, but I never tried to add this to my drawings. I also learned how to copy exactly. The thing I liked best was the drawing part of it and making the exact copy, and the thing I liked least was the shading because I wanted it to look exactly like it, and it never did.

I like many things about my painting, but my favorite would be the sun and ocean reflection. I love how it looks and it seems like it is bright. My least favorite part is the clouds. I feel like I did them before I really learned the techniques, so I could've done better. It is what I hoped for, I think I did pretty good and my friends said they liked it and thought it looked good.
