2D Art

acrylic Painting

In this project we used paint and the techniques that we used with it was learning how to mix the paint into colors that we wanted and blending all the colors together so that the painting would flow better. In the end I learned a lot about the way I work and overall I think the painting turned out pretty good but there can always be improvements. This piece will influence my future projects because I understand the way I like to do things and what works for me.

Self Portrait

In this project we used pencils and used the technique of shading which we had learned from doing little practices. It was very difficult to pull out the light and the dark out of the picture and make them stand out. I learned that sometimes you just got to put the line on the paper to see if it really works. You have to make mistakes to learn and mistakes can often be turned into something good. In the end I was very proud of how this piece turned out and learned a lot about using pencils and shading. There could have been some improvements but overall looks close to the starting picture.

Scratch art

I used an X-acto knife for this project to make all of the lines. This project looked a lot easier than it actually was to do. It was hard to make the strokes look accurate and to know how hard to press down if you wanted it more white. It was also difficult because once you put one line down there was no erasing or going back on it. Overall I liked how this project turned out and was glad that I got to learn how to do something so different. I would probably change the animal that I did because it was difficult with all the spots on it.

Colored Pencil

I used colored pencils in this project and all the different techniques of shading and mixing colors. It was a very difficult project because it was for someone else and it was of my dad's car so I felt like I needed to do extra good on it. It was hard to make all of the colors blend together and make them look accurate. I am very happy with the end result on the project and I think it looks very accurate to the picture. I am excited to give it to my dad.Â
