3d art story

For this 3D art story I made a story of me and my friends on the golf cart and made it out of all the supplies Mr. Langmaack gave us, plus a lot of hot glue and magazines. It took me about 3 hours to complete the whole golf cart and the little people.

Clay jar

For the clay jar assignment I started with clay and shaped the clay into a milk bottle. I had to redo the milk bottle a few times to get the shape I wanted after I finished. It went in the klim then we put the glaze on the jar I used white and the cap I used a pinkish red. This project took 4-6 days

CLAY WHISTLE

For the clay whistle assignment I started by shaping two little finger bowls and blending them together. Then I shaped a little square with clay that was about the size of a eraser. Then connected it on to the hallow circle by blending it. After it was connected I stuck a Popsicle stick through the middle of the square into the hallow part of the circle. After there is a hole then I blew on it and tried to make it whistle. Once it whistled I added the head and then the little tentacles. After I made a swirly circle so it looked like the shell of a snail. Then fired it, painted it 2 different brows and fired the glaze again and it turned out like this.

CLAY BOWL

For this clay bowl I started out by taping paper towels to a plastic bowl so that the clay wouldn't stick. After we started to make coils for the bowl with the thing that you put the clay in and it pushes the clay out into coils. After I put the coils on in a triangle pattern and then cut them a certain way to make the little arches. Then after it was done and we took it out of the bowl I touched it up a little and then it was ready for the kelm as it was sitting it did crack. Then I painted it a light orange on the inside and a darker orange on the outside.

Hand Drawing

To start on the hand drawing I got a tool and took a picture of me holding it then once it was printed out I measured all the points doubling them onto the paper. Then I started by connecting all the dots and I started shading on the fingers to try and get the deepest and the lightest spots. During this project I learned how to shade more and got better at it as the project progressed. If I could restart this project again I would go slower and I think it would've looked better, because some of the fingers I wasn't very satisfied with them at first but then as I erased little parts on the finger and did different techniques I liked how it looked.

Water color

For this water color project I started off by picking a turtle then to copy the turtle onto the paper I made pencil marks on the back by rubbing the graphite everywhere. Then I traced on top of the picture to press the graphite onto the paper then traced the pencil with a marker and added some value. For the background which was the first step I put water all over then dabbed and spread out some blue horizontal. Then I put a light layer of orange across the turtle and left some light spots on the turtle. Then worked on the darker spots by adding more. then I added a darker orange on the scales. I really enjoyed this project and after I got a confidence boost by Mr. landmaack I had more fun with it.
