Introduction to Studio Art

Creative Lines

This was my first time drawing with an assignment like this, and I was very skeptical for the end result. I wish I would've used different colors, but I'm not entirely mad with the end product. Considering I have ZERO artistic skill. But hey I did it and here it is.

Hand Drawing

I really liked this project. The amount of detail put into a drawing like this was hard to accomplish, and it took many hours to reach the end result. But in the end I really love the finished product, and it is definitely my favorite piece I've done.

Insect Painting

This project was very challenging. I wish I would've chosen a different bug, and used different colors. I don't think it's the worst looking thing ever, but I'm not a fan of how it turned out.

Clay Jar

The clay jar is the first project we do with clay in Intro to Art. Because it was my first time doing something like this it was pretty challenging. I couldn't think of what to make for the longest time. But I am proud of what I made, and all its imperfections.

Clay Bowl

For my clay bowl I wanted to do something with an open design to be something like a fruit bowl. I loved the idea of flower petals so I wanted to incorporate them in some way. It was pretty diffucult to shape the bowl in the beginning, but I think it came out good.

Pufferfish Whistle

My pufferfish whistle is probably my favorite project to date. It was so fun to make and worth the time put into it. The hardest part was making it actually whistle. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

UnderWaterColor

For this project I decided to paint these three jellyfish. I am not completely thrilled with how it turned out, but I do not think it is awful. If I had to do it again I would add more shading and movement to the animal. Overall, I'm pretty okay with it.

Stamp Book

For this project I decided to do a humming bird. I liked when we did the carving of the stamp but the printing wasn't my favorite. Overall I'm happy with how my book turned out,
