The goal for this project was to take 9 random lines and create one whole picture. I took this project line by line. First I saw a shoe. Then I noticed that I could use half a line for a line on a hand. In the beginning I didn't think I would be able to complete it. In the end I was able to figure something out and I am happy how it turned out.
The goal for this project was to draw a hand holding a tool and then shade it. I started this project by making dots and connecting them together. The straight lines were easier so I started with the paint brush. Once I drew the hand I started shading the hand then the fingers and so on. The last thing I shaded was the bracelet on my wrist. The drawing of the hand was definitely easier then the shading part for me. I was surprised when I was done tho that it actually turned out okay because I cannot draw. So I am happy with how it turned out.Â
The goal of this project was to use paint and paint shapes of colors to make it look like a landscape. I started the project by taking a pencil and outlining the landscape based on the photo. After that I started by painting the furthest object with would be the sky. I started with the light blue then added some white towards the end making it lighter as you go down. Then I added the white and blended it making the clouds. After the sky I did the Ocean and then the rocks, bushes, grass, tress and sidewalk. The easiest part for me was probably color matching with my reference photo. The hardest part for me was blending the colors once of the canvas and using the right brush technique but the small little landscapes we did before with the video really help me. In the end I was happy with my painting and surprised how it turned out.
The goal of this project was to use clay to build a lantern. I first started by rolling out a piece of clay and using things to press some design into the clay. After that I used a template to cut out 4 sides a bottom and a top. After that I used a cutter to cut all the sides and the base and scoured it and added slip to stick it all together. Then make the top and legs and add holes. After that it was fired and then I picked out a glaze and did 3 layers. Then it was fired again and finished. The easiest part for me was probably rolling out the clay and doing the designs. The hardest part was definitely assembling it with the scoring and slip. But I really liked the color I picked and how it turned out.
