I chose this story because most of my friends where there when I broke my arm while running. I used a lot of Popsicle sticks for the gate, the gaga ball pit, and the people. I printed out all the people. When Mr. Langmaack said to think of a story that was either beneficial to your life or not, I immediately thought of this story. It was kind of difficult to make this project but it came out lovely.
I drew my hand holding a paintbrush because painting is one of my hobbies. All of the tools I used was a ton of different pencils, erasers, and blending stumps. We used different techniques to get all of the lines right and to get the value of the drawing perfect. This project had some ups and downs and a lots of erasing but in the end, I think it turned out really good. I had a lot of fun learning different techniques to make this drawing come to life.
The products I used to paint this painting was acrylic paint and 2 different sizes of paint brushes. We used a floppy canvas to paint on. It was so satisfying to paint with the acrylic paint because it just went on the canvas so nicely. It was hard to paint the sky and the trees. But otherwise, I am happy the way everything turned out.
The products I used for the jar was clay and glaze for the clay. I also used differnt sized brushes to get in every single crack and crany. It was super cool to see the color before it went in the kiln to after because the colors were more vibrant and look and feel super shiny and smooth. It was kind of hard to find the right colors but I think it is a perfect jar for candy perfect for Valentines day.
The stuff I used to make this whistle was clay, slip, and glaze. I used different sized brushed and used different knifes to make sure everything was good and smooth. It was super fun deciding what character or design I was going to do. It was also super hard to sculpt my whistle and make it whistle at the same time. I think this whistle came out super smooth and cute.
For my clay bowl I used of course clay, and glaze. I also used different knifes and a press thing to make the clay into coils. I also used different smoothing technique make the outside super smooth. It was hard to decide what pattern I was going to do but it all worked out in the end. I wish I had cleaned up the lines a bit more but otherwise I think it cam out good!
For my watercolor painting I used of course watercolor paints, water, and different sized brushes to get each and every little detail. To get different shades of the color, you either had to add more water or more watercolor paint. It was difficult to get more of the shadows done and keep the white sports to make the illusion of the sea lion being shiny. Otherwise I was super happy with the result of it!
For my oil pastel painting of course I used oil pastels. I also used baby oil, q-tips, black colored pencils, and a white gel pen. I used the q-tips to blend it our and the white pen to get some gloss on the caterpillar. I used the black colored pencil for the spikes and the baby oil to make finer lines on it. This project was pretty messy but super fun and it came out great!
For my print bird, I used a lot of different tools. I used a big piece of rubber and carved it out and I used a very small carver tool to carve out all of the little details. I used different colors of ink to print them out on paper and then it gave me this. I had a lot of fun with this project and it being my last. It was kind of difficult to get every single little detail perfect but otherwise I loved how this project turned out.
