Intro to Studio Art
My Creation
I chose this scene beacuse I was thinking of dinosaurs and Jurassic world. I learned that I can be very creative and I know how to blend colors now. The goal of the project was for it to look good after a while and It does look pretty good to me. It was what I was hoping for and I hope people think it looks good. My favorite thing about this picture are my volcanos and dinosaurs I am very proud of them. This will influence my art work because I finished it fast and this will influence me to focus to finish quickly but not too quick.
Hand Drawing
I chose to do the hammer because i thought it would be pretty easy. I learned that not everything is easy and you have to work hard to accomplish it. The goal of the project was to make a hand and round it out by shading it and this is how it came out. I am actually very proud of it and If i did it again i could do better and still be proud of my old one. This is influencing me to put my best work effort to come up with something beautiful.
Bee painting
I wanted to do the bee because it was a simple bee with three main colors that made it easier. It wasn't actually easier to paint because it needed texture and other things but other than that i enjoyed the simplicity of it after it was finished. I feel that I could have done better with painting the flower because before i got help i didn't know how to get in the detail of the flower that was needed. Overall I am very proud of my insect and I love how the bee turned out!!!
Whistle Project
I chose to do a dog because I thought of my dog and i didn't want to spend a lot of time on something. I learned that it is hard to make the whistle make the sound it is supposed to make and langmack had to help me. I am proud of it because it Looks good and the glaze went as I planned it. This is influencing me to make another whistle, whistle on my own.
Christmas Gift Jar
I chose to do a present because it was very last minute, I was sick, and i didn't know what to do. I learned that it takes only a small amount of time to make a jar and I think that this project was fairly easy for me even though I was a bit behind. I am think that it looks good although i probably could have done a few more layers of the glaze on the inside but overall I am proud of how the bow and everything else came out glossy. This is influencing me to make a bigger Jar because this one was a tad small so next time I want to make the same thing but a bit bigger
Sun Flower Clay Bowl
I chose to do a Sunflower design because at first I didn't know what to do until I started thinking. Also, when I finished and started painting I realized that it was going to be my sisters birthday soon in march and I made it for her. I feel very proud of myself for putting the time and effort needed into this because it was worth it seeing the turnout! This influences me to do the best I can because when I put in a lot of effort I can make something beautiful so i am determined to put in the effort to get an awesome job done.
Cockatoo Stamp
I chose to do this because i thought it would be such a beautiful bird to do and I thought that since no one was doing it, I would. When i started carving I felt that this would take a little bit of time which it did but i loved the turn out. Of course I needed to tweak it a little bit but once I finished it was so good! When I got to the ink I was thinking of all the color combinations I could do and I loved playing around with the different colors. I learned that over this year practice makes perfect and sometimes you have to make mistakes and learn from them. I needed patience and now that it is done I am very proud of it!.
Sun flower box
This project could've come out better if i didn't mess up on one part but over all I like it. I chose to use the sunflower paper because I knew that gold would go good with it and it did! Overall I was okay with it because it could've been a bit cleaner when I applied the paper to the box with glue but I am proud of it because I got it done. The thing I love about it is the color of the box because it is so vibrant and i have something to feel good about when I talk about it. I learned that not everything is perfect and the things need work and effort put into them. Also I learned that If I did this again I could do much better because I know what to do now. I did need to have careful hands when doing it too so I will know that for another time.
