My first bowl was a success. I wanted to go for a Aztec vibe bowl so I chose a roller that had a print that you would see on a wall in an Aztec temple. Then I did some research and they had a god who was said to be a dragon so I added a dragon on the bottom and I feel that really completed the bowl.
I wanted to make this plate for my Grandma. She always has something out on a plate to eat so I figured why not make her a nice plate. I wanted it to be red because that is her favorite color, also on the bottom I put some flowers on the feet and put "Grandma" into the bottom. The plate is a little flatter than I wanted, I wish it held its shape more but overall it is good.
This project was a really fun one. I was able to put stuff on this project that reflects me. I put a golf course on the B side of my logo and I did this because I love golfing. Golfing is a challenging sport that test your mental and physical capability so I enjoy playing it. I also added 2 albums from my favorite rapper, Kanye West and J.Cole. I tried to make it look like the album covers countuinued outside of the picture and it turned out somewhat good. I also added a Tennis ball because I play tennis and it is one of my favorite sports that I play at school. Also on the top there is a weightlifting plate because the gym is my home and working out is my favorite thing to do. On the A I put an American flag because when I get out of college I am joining the Marines. Sadly I wish I had another day to add some bible verses around my cross but I was still able to get the cross on there. If i had another day I would add some verses on there. All in all this was a great project
I created a saber tooth tiger out of clay. This project was really hard and frustrating at times. I started the project and then realized I didn't have enough clay to shape the body so i had restart. It was a painful process of getting the head and face right, I just couldn't really get the right structure. I asked Mr. Langmack for some help with the face and even then he struggled with it. In the end though I got to the final product of a saber tooth tiger.
This project a lot of fun. Being on the wheel was an experience it was really hard getting the clay centered. Mr. Langmack made it look really easy but I found it extremely difficult. Once it was centered it was cool to shape the clay and make it into a bowl, there was some trail and error to really get down the techniques. I wish I had more time on the wheel but its whatever.
This was a good project. I really kinda just made a circle and then just kept going and just seeing how far I went with it. Never really had an Idea of what to do but then sort of developed this dome shaped that I liked. But once I finished the dome I feel like it needed more so I wanted to add sticks through the middle and then ended up with it how it is. I really like how it looks and am proud of it.
