Introduction to Studio Art
Lines Project
During this project I learned how to connect 9 lines tok make a drawing and to enhance my artistic abilities.
Hand Drawing
In this drawing, I learned how to use lines to know where the next point on my paper would be and I could do it if I tried hard.
Insect Painting
In this project I learned how to paint better, I learned to never use dull colors and to always blend colors.
Clay Jar
In this project, I learned how to make a clay jar and how to glaze it properly and to make the lid. This was a really fun project to make because working with clay is fun and having this will be a really neat thing to use and to look at. I am proud of the work that I did on succesfully making a green apple!
Clay Bowl
In this project, I learned how to make a clay bowl by using the extruder to make clay coils. After we put all of the coils onto a plastic bowl we let it dry and then took it off and glazed it. This was an awesome projects.
Clay Whistle
In this project, I learned that you actually can make a whistle using clay! This has been one of my favorite projects so far because when I finished I was really happy with how it came out and that it is a functioning whistle. You make it by getting a tennis ball sized piece of clay and then making an eraser size piece and then taking the two pieces and putting them together to make an air pocket. From there you use your popsicle stick to create the whistling part.
Under Water Water Color Painting
In this project I learned a lot about water color and how to make two colors flow and that it is not finished until you add multiple layers. This project has been the most difficult but after I put in the work and finished it I was pleased with how it turned out. Im glad that I did not give up and I went through with trying as it truly does really come to live once you finish every detail.
Spot the Differences
This project was fun. Once I got the hang of what to do this was a really cool project and I was pleased with my work and how it turned it. Using photoshop is one of those things for me that I did not think I would be able to do but after I finished watching the videos and trying it myself I learned a lot and it was really cool. My hope for the people viewing this book is that it could inspire them to try this themselves and maybe have some fun with it and to be proud of their work just like I am.
3D Story
This project was one of the more difficult ones throughout the year. When I heard we were supposed to make this from home I was a little worried thinking I wasnt going to be able to make anything and I started to stress but once I though about just going and making something I though I can make it all turned out. This was actually kinda cool seeing I made a 3D figure from scratch just using some materials around the house. Overall, this taught me that putting my mind to things and just not worrying is very effiecient for trying to get something done.
