For the tea bowl I decided to make a bowl. I choose to paint the inside with a copper glaze and the outside with a peacock color glaze. To create this bowl I first made and shaped it out of clay, then I glazed it and then we fired it. I overall am happy with how it turned out I just wish the outside glaze wasn't so matte.
For this project I started by flattening the clay and draping it on the plate. Then I painted it and carved out the stencil. ANd then I also made feet to glue to the bottom of the plate. Overall I really like how this project turned out, I just wish I had centered the stencil better and had given the paint some better coverage as it's really splotchy.
For this project I slowly created the box. Once I created the shape of the box I then impressed multiple designs into the top of the bowl and the sides. Overall I really don't like how this project turned out. One, the bowl ended up lopsided and all the sides weren't equal. Also some of the impressions didn't turn out great, as well as I put too much glaze and made me lose a lot of the designs. The only thing I like about my bowl is one design on it and the color combo.
For this project I got to work on the pottery wheel for the first time. It took me almost the whole week to get the hang of it which led to me only getting four pieces (one not shown). I ended up making three mugs or cups, and one bowl. I overall have mixed thoughts about these pieces. I like two of the cups because the glaze turned out nice. While i don't like the bowl and the other cup because the glaze didn't turn out great.
