For this project, we started off with 9 different lines on a paper separated into 3x3 sections of the paper. It took me a while to decide what the theme of the drawing would be, but the semi circle at the top and the wave shapes at the top made me think of the ocean, so that's what I decided to base my drawing off of. Along the way, I got more ideas after completing each new line. I made the shadows long and angled away from the angle of the sun because it was sunset to make it more realistic. I tried to make all of the highlights towards the angle of the sun in order to make it look better too.
For this project, we started by taking a picture of our hands holding a tool. After that, we used a doubling technique to make our hand enlarged and also have an accurate picture. After we finished laying out our dots, we connected them accurately based on the picture. When we finished the drawing portion, we moved on to shading. We used special shading pencils that helped us get darker or lighter values easier. At first, my picture looked kind of plain, so I started adding more contrast. After adding darker values to the shadows and erasing the highlight areas, I though it looked better.
For this project, we started by finding a landscape photo that we liked online, we then put it into a filter to make it painting styled so we could see the simplified version to visualize the painting. After that we did small practice paintings to help us understand colors and shapes for our painting. When we started on the painting, I started by blotting in the general shapes and colors so I could see the basic idea for the painting. I later went over them with the final color and added some highlights and shadows to make it have more contrast and depth. Finally, I blended the colors together to make it look more smooth throughout the painting.
For this project, we started out by taking a block of clay, splitting it in two, and making two pinch bowls. Next we put them together and smoothed the seems. Then we put on the whistle mouth piece and smoothed the seems on that too. After that, we made the whistle hole and perfected it until it made sound. Then I put holes in the sides for it to make different notes. Me and my friends decided to all do angry birds so I looked up a picture and based mine off of the blue one. When the clay was dried, I glazed it with blue and did all of the different details until it looked like the blue angy bird.
