The Importance of Socialization to the Crew

"Being a full-time running start student means no longer attending my high school. At first, I thought this was great but over time I realized that it also meant I no longer saw my friends with their schedules always different from mine. This was a very eye-opening experience, as I learned the necessity of a healthy social life. I've come to realize how much my social life impacts not only my mental health but also my physical health and my ability to do well in class."

"Since I've started classes a Clark, I've noticed myself becoming less social and more isolated primarily due to taking online courses and my course load. I found myself missing out on plans with friends and feeling disconnected from them. Overtime, I realized that maintaining my social connections while being a student was essential for my well-being and helped me stay grounded during stressful times."

"After starting college, I noticed I became less social and more distant as I usually took online classes to fit with my work schedule. This really took a toll on me mentally and I felt like I was always missing out on activities. However, this year, I made it a goal to improve my relationships and since then I've noticed I've become much happier. Finding a balance can be challenging at first but it is essential to maintain your mental health in college to lessen stress and to have a positive experience"
