EnviroLab Asia is an initiative at the Claremont Colleges funded by the Henry Luce Foundation’s Luce Initiative on Asian Studies and the Environment (LIASE) Program. This initiative is a laboratory for cross-disciplinary research and experiential learning that links knowledge with practice.

About our team:
Audrey is a sophomore at Scripps College studying Economics and Biology. On campus, she participates in the Scripps Investment Fund, Claremont Sustainability Consulting, and intramural sports. Outside of school, she enjoys cooking, playing backgammon, and watching Warriors games.
Bhanu is a sophomore at Claremont McKenna College studying Philosophy and International Relations. On campus, she is involved with the Mgrublian Center for Human Rights and CMC Advocates for Survivors. She researches with Professor Michael Fortner and is the President of CMC Amnesty International. Bhanu is a fan of Solitaire, cats, and jam-sessions!
Brittany is a junior at Harvey Mudd College studying Engineering and Environmental Analysis. On campus, she is part of the 5C climbing team and the HMC puzzle club. Outside of academics, she enjoys exploring new places, making things out of wood, and learning about different ways that we can think about the climate crisis.
Anushka is a freshman at Claremont McKenna College studying Economics and Data Science. She believes empowering people and communities begins at the intersection of technology, business, and sustainability. Whether running her family’s 20-acre orchard in Southern California, researching sustainable water purification systems using Moringa oleifera, or learning about emerging marine industries in Maine, Anushka explores multidisciplinary approaches to complex problems. She seeks to maximize her impact by immersing herself in unique experiences and engaging with diverse perspectives. Anushka is eager to embark on new adventures and seize opportunities that will further enhance her understanding and contribute to her mission of making a positive difference in the world.
