All Saint Cathedral was founded in 1908 when it was built to replace an earlier church built on the same site in 1900, which was destroyed by a fire five weeks after it had been opened. The foundation stone for the new building was laid on June 22nd 1908, by the then-Governor of the British East Africa Protectorate, Sir Edward Northey. Construction occurred over the next several years and the main building was completed in 1932. Over the decades since its opening, the cathedral has been expanded, with the addition of a Nativity chapel, a crypt, a Nave Chapel, and a Chapter House. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Kenya. Also All Saint cathedral is the best church in Kenya
