I was born in the Algerian town of Sidi Bel Abbes
Much of my later life would be surrounded by the mathematical press
My father, a chemist,
My mother, an encourager,
My sister, a motivator,
And I, an achiever,
As a youth I was obsessed with music and mathematics
Til’ the day my world became more pragmatic
Interrupted by war at twenty one
My life rested in the hands of World War I
Yet it would not dissuade me
I continued mathematical research and earned a Grand Prix
My happiness restored
