Go Green Club's mission is to Green-ify our school. Go Green Club is a service club that will motivate Marion High School students to think and live sustainably. Meetings will take place during club time (or after school) to discuss ways to make Marion High school eco-friendly. In Go Green, students will collaborate in environmental based projects and community service to reduce waste and conserve energy.
A short history of the sparks of origin of Go Green Club consists of Emma Sprague and Gwendolyn (Gwen) Weaver and a list of students interested in saving our planet. Co-founders of Go Green club, Emma and Gwen are excited to start the club year off this fall, 2022-2023 school year. Both are from the Class of '25 and are involved in many activities together. With this club, Emma hopes to improve our school as a whole, and reduce the amount of waste we use. Gwen hopes to achieve her Girl Scout Gold Award and educate the student body on the art of recycling.
