40th Twente Student Conference on IT
The 40th Twente Student Conference on IT (TScIT 40) provides an excellent opportunity to students working in different areas of IT to come together, discuss, and exchange their expertise and knowledge related to various aspects of modern Information Technologies. The Twente Student Conference on IT is organised twice a year for students of the bachelor programmes Computer Science and Business Information Technology of the University of Twente. This is an educational event, by which students will learn how to perform scientific research on a given problem and how to evaluate the quality and relevance of their research.
Call for papers
Research contributions are solicited in all areas of Information Technology, and with a special focus on the tracks of this edition. This 40th edition of the conference has the following tracks:
Intelligent interaction
Information management
Software Technology and Formal Methods
Pervasive Computing and IoT
Network Systems and Network Security
Data Science
Sustainable Artificial Intelligence
Information Systems Services and Interoperability
The detailed description of each track can be found under the Tracks page. Contributions can be analytical, empirical, technological, methodological, or a combination of these. The impact of the contributions should be demonstrated in the context of IT.
The best papers will receive the prestigious TScIT Best Paper Award.
Submission
This conference is open for students of the bachelor programmes Computer Science and Business Information Technology of the University of Twente. Each student can choose only one track. Two important submissions are needed:
Research proposal. As a first step towards carrying out a research project each student has to write a research proposal highlighting the context, problem statement, importance, state of the art, methodology, expected results and planning. A proposal will be reviewed and must be accepted by your supervisor.
Research paper. Upon acceptance of the proposal each student will perform the proposed research. The results of the research will be described in a scientific paper following the submission guidelines of the conference. The paper will be reviewed by student peers as well as the track organizers.

Deadline to get a go for the research proposal: November 26th, 2023
Draft research paper submission: January 21st, 2024
Final paper submission: January 28th, 2024
