Penang, known as the “Pearl of the Orient”, is one of Malaysia’s most vibrant and diverse states. It is situated on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It consists of two divisions: Penang Island, the seat of the state capital, George Town, and Seberang Perai, the mainland, which is linked by the Penang Bridge and ferry services. Penang stretches along the Straits of Malacca and is famous for its mix of modern urban life, nature, and heritage. Its accessibility allows it to be readily accessed from Kuala Lumpur or elsewhere in Southeast Asia.
