I departed from Sukarno-Hatta Airport at 1 a.m. and arrived at Ninoy Aquino Airport at 6 in the morning. Dr. Janne and Ma'am Hydy were waiting for me at the arrival gate. Upon reaching the airport, I parted ways with friends from the same flight because I had to go to Cavite State University, while the others were headed to Northern Philippines University. The distance from Ninoy Aquino Airport to Cavite State University was about 200 meters. We traveled for approximately 2 hours to reach the hostel. Upon arriving at the hostel, I rested first before attending the opening ceremony.
"At an education faculty seminar at Cavite State University, we, the international students, conducted a welcome session where we introduced ourselves, shared our hopes, impressions, and messages. It was my first time standing as an international student at a foreign university. I presented my name and educational background. Additionally, I expressed my hope to learn many new things through this experience. I also shared my impression and message that the Filipino people are very friendly and pleasant.
After concluding the welcome session, Dr. Ammie introduced me to several university and faculty officials. Only then was I introduced among the teachers at the Laboratory Science High School. Dr. Ammie entrusted me with teaching mathematics. She conveyed that Ma'am Jezeeal would be my cooperating teacher during my teaching tenure there.
The second day ended after the children's classes (at 3 p.m.). Sir Raffi, the school principal, invited us, the international students, for a trip to tourist attractions in Tagaytay City. We, the international students, were accompanied by Sir Oliver, Ma'am Hydy, and Ma'am Jezeaal. First, we headed to the Gingerbread House, a place where there's a miniature snow house during Christmas. There was a well believed to grant wishes. There were also numerous attractive photo spots related to the Christmas-themed gingerbread house.
Next, we continued our journey to Sky Ranch, but before that, we had a meal at a restaurant. As usual, Dea ordered her favorite food. Yes, Dea ordered Bangsilog (Bangus Fish and Egg).
After the evening meal, we proceeded to Sky Ranch. I tried several rides with my friends. The entrance fee at Sky Ranch wasn't too expensive; you only needed to pay 100 pesos. But that didn't include the ride tickets, guys. Overall, I felt delighted with the trip that day. If I may rate it, 9.5 out of 10.
