This course is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and understanding of establishing and managing a plantation. Students following this two and half (2½) year programme will learn the latest techniques of Plantation Management, Agricultural Science, Farm Mechanization, Accounting, Plant Science, Agricultural Economics, Soil Science, Industrial Relations, Personnel Management, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Marketing.

Diploma in Herbs Production is a two and half (2½) year semi-professional program which focus on herbal production and technology. The students will be able to gain their theoretical knowledge during lecture session. The program is designed to equip the students with essential knowledge and understanding of herbal production and technology. The critical knowledge in herbal production is taught in courses such as Botany and Taxonomy of Plants, Introduction to Plant Biochemistry, Propagation Techniques, Micropropagation Methods, Ethno Herbal Plants, Plant Pathology, Perennial Herbal Plant Production, Annual Herbal Plant Production, Phytochemistry of Herbal Plants, Entomology, Soil Science, Processing and Packaging of Herbal Products, Safety and Quality Control of Herbal Products and Agriculture Product Marketing.
The students will be able to enhance their skills set through practical works at laboratory. Besides, the students are required to attend industrial trainings in related disciplines at government and private sectors to gain valuable experience and knowledge in real working environment.

Graduates of Diploma in Herbs Production have the ever-needed career prospects in herbal-based production due to the significance of tremendous herbal-based industry awareness in Malaysia as well as international. The graduates will always be among the highly sought-after in government agencies, namely the Department of Agriculture, Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), Malaysia Agriculture Research Development Institute (MARDI), Biodiversity Centre and private sectors, particularly to assist in research works, operational management and quality improvement, as far as herbal production is concerned. With the challenges arising from the liberalization and globalization of business today, and realizing the importance of the banking industry as the financial intermediary and primary source of financing for the domestic economy, there is a need to understand the banking system of Malaysia.
The Diploma in Banking Studies offered by the Faculty of Business Management, UiTM started in July 1967, is designed to develop and to train students in the area of banking management and finance.
The 2½ year programme covers a wide range of courses including the study of banking management, finance, accounting, economics, marketing, management, mathematics and statistics, language and communication, information technology and legal foundations. This wide range of courses provides students with the basis needed in facing challenges in the banking industry. Apart from preparing students to fulfil related job vacancies in banking environment, this programme also prepares students for the Bachelor programme in the field of finance, banking and investment.
