Building a Prototype

After determining our final design for the project, it was time to move on to building a prototype. It is important to construct a prototype in order to see if the final design is functional. By creating a prototype, any issues with the design can be spotted and later redesigned to solve said issues and also provides an opportunity to make improvements to the final design. We constructed a scaled down prototype out of VEX components with the intent of seeing if the design worked well and consistently. After much testing, the design proved to work the way we wanted it to and could move onto constructing the final build.
