Development of an idea 

i struggled with it as pro crate didnt work but this is what i have come to finish with, i struggled with the bottom left design as i didnt have a real photo to go off but after trying i finaly got it.

here is my updated version from today (11/01/23). i wokred only on the bottom left and worked on making it more 3D. i think the side part turned out good but i struggled on doing it and messed up a few times. next i will be doing the back half/ other side 

this lesson i only did the bottom right coner trying to make it 3d but i really struggled becase the resin is clear but in the end i got it done. i also tried doing shadow in the middle but did a really bad job, next time ill try and work on my shading

in this lesson i made very good progress, from the pictures above ir was very plain but i finished all the wood and colours for the coil, i also finished the shdows. my final design is in the bottom right. over the past lessons ive used the following skils; shading, masking, outlining pictures, discrptions on what the design is and more. my final design will be a full block of resin. i will cut my block of wood into 4 pices, 2 for the pillars and 2 for the wavy bit at the bottom. i think for the pillar that goes acroos the whole block needs to be very thin using as less wood as possible, therefore sparing wood for other bits.
