A stop action picture is when you capture someone or something in mid action and you "freeze" them. It puts the person in a frozen state , which makes the picture looks like time is frozen. 

A panning picture is taken when you have someone running in front of you while you swing from your hips to capture the picture. This movement causes the background to be blurry.

A blur picture is taken when a object is moving while the camera is still. The camera needs a slow shutter speed and a wide f-stop.
