The ASC is one of the best support tools at Purdue Global. It offers live tutoring, workshops, recorded videos, and writing support. Encourage your mentee to explore the ASC early and often—it’s free and incredibly helpful for building confidence and improving academic skills.
Inside the resource folder, you’ll find downloadable checklists, conversation starters, goal-setting templates, and helpful guides you can use with your mentee. These tools are designed to help structure your meetings and keep things simple and productive.
Want to keep track of your meetings? Use the editable tracking template to log your sessions, note discussion topics, and record action items. This is optional, but many mentors find it helpful for staying organized and reflecting on their mentee’s progress.
Purdue Global offers free tutoring for a wide range of subjects. You can help your mentee explore tutoring options through the Academic Success Center or schedule time with a writing or math tutor for personalized support.
This website is full of great information for psychology students, including club announcements, degree information, success stories, and upcoming events. Mentors can use it to stay informed and help mentees stay connected to the broader academic community.
Faculty can be a great resource for your mentees. Encourage your mentee to communicate directly with their instructors when they have questions or need clarification. Remind them that professors are there to support their success—and that it’s okay to ask for help.
