Penn Manor Databases - These databases are subscribed to by Penn Manor School District, IU 13, or provided by the public library. When at school, you have access to these databases; however, at home you will need a user name and password. User names and passwords can be obtained in the high school library for most databases.

AncestryK12 offers free access to all the original and primary documents of Ancestry's U.S. Collection for use in any K12 classroom. Use Ancestry for family history projects and research.

An online almanac for statistics and maps of world nations and U.S. states. Includes a photo gallery, famous people feature and recipe collection from all over the world.

A collection of educational videos and resources. Log-in using your Google ID and password.

Fold3 provides convenient access to US military records, including the stories, photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served.

GVRL contains our collection of reference eBooks about a variety of topics, but in particular, excellent history resources such as History in Dispute and American Decades Primary Sources.

Gale in Context: High School is a multi-disciplinary database that covers a wide variety of topics on all different subject matters. This is a great place to start for almost any research project.

Gale Literature is a search tool that combines various literary and historical resources including Lit. Finder, Literature Criticism Online, and Literature Resource Center into one search engine. These resources are best for literary research but can be very useful for primary sources for history projects.

Opposing Viewpoints in Context provides resources on current controversial issues. This database can also be very helpful in choosing topics for you research projects. Simply choose the "Browse Issues" tap to look over topic ideas.

Gale Power Search is a useful tool that searches all of the Gale databases and eBooks that we have. This can be a great place to find information; however, if your search is more focused, the results can be overwhelming or scattered.

World History in Context provides an overview of world history that covers the most-studied events, periods, cultures, civilizations, religions, conflicts, wars, ideologies, cultural movements, and people.

A multi-disciplinary database that collects academic journals on a wide range of subjects. This source will be more likely used for upper level and advanced research projects.

Find historical newspapers from across the United States and beyond. Explore newspaper articles and clippings from 1700's - 2000's for help with genealogy, history and other research. This database is only available in school.

To access Power Library, click on the image and then browse the provided databases for content. Power Library contains multiple databases on different topics. Power Search is a good place to start if you are not sure where to start. You will need a public library card to access at home, or you can sign up for an e-library card on the Power Library site.

SSRN provides the opportunity to share and distribute research well before it is published in journals or books. The site features an expansive eLibrary, more than 1,000 abstracting eJournals that deliver research electronically, and rankings for institutions, authors, and papers.
