Assessments

I generally do not assign homework. I plan for all assignments to be able to be done in class. If a student misses class, however, they do have to make up the work on their own time. I will take late work no more than one week after the return of the student.

Students should bring their Chrome Book, a sharpened pencil, and a library book to class every day.

Grading Scale:

Grades will be determined based on a percentage of total points earned.

A = 90 – 100 D = 60 - 69

B = 80 – 89 F = 59 - below

C = 70 – 79

Classroom Rules and Expectations:

1. Respect is the most important rule. Students are to show respect for the teacher, other students, themselves, and the classroom environment.

2. Students will bring all materials needed for class with them every day. This includes library books and chrome books.

3. Students will participate and pay attention during class.

4. Students will come to class on time.

5. No cell phone use during class.

6. Students should remain in their seats until the bell rings.

Other rules may be implemented as the year progresses.

First Offense: The student will receive a warning and the incident will be documented.

Second Offense: The student's parent/guardian will be contacted and the student will receive another warning. The incident will be documented.
