Robot 1

This bot was the most lean robot we have ever created. It's small size meant less weight so we could run faster with motors on it making it a speed demon. It used a linear actuator to reach the tallest part of the shipping hub. The gripper was two "J" shaped metal plates that were contacted by a servo and gears allowing it to pinch the object and then release it.

We decided to take it apart and build another because there wasn't enough ground clearance to be able to get over the speed bumps, and because our rod got bent causing the arm to become less stable and not as accurate; along with other problems mostly just unreliability with the bot from things such as the gripper failing to pick up blocks from time to time, and disconnection of the phones becoming more and more of a problem as we continued to use them.
