About the team

OUR STORY

Our program has been around for around eight years overall. Through COVID, we happen to lose our program due to a loss in funding. When we returned to school this fall we had to face the sad truth that there was a chance our program was gone and wouldn't come back. This robotics program shut down was district-wide. The school board had shut down not only our program but the FLL team as well .They happened to reinstate the middle school’s FLL program about two weeks before we would normally have our launch party. When we had heard that the middle and elementary schools had gotten their programs back we decided we wanted to fight for ours back too. In the past, we have had troubles with coaching as well as other things that we have now sorted out. With all previous issues sorted we went to the school board. After attending school board meetings we continued to talk with the superintendent of our district and with our soon-to-be coaches as well as start working without funding using old and broken parts from the old bot to get a start. After several meetings with school officials, it went to the board for a vote and we were able to kick off our program. We had a bit of a late start but we didn't let that slow us down in getting to where we are now.
