2027 RECIPIENTS

Bridges of Norman is a non-profit organization that empowers high school students in family crisis to pursue a high school education without obstacles. Bridges' goal is to provide students with a safe place to live and to give them the confidence to continue with their high school journey. Bridges strives to ensure that these students never feel ashamed or at fault for the circumstances they face. They support their students monetarily, physically, and mentally. 

Make-A-Wish Oklahoma is a state-wide non-profit organization dedicated to creating life-changing wishes for children diagnosed with critical illnesses. Founded in 1982, the organization believes that a wish can be a pivotal moment in a child's treatment journey, inspiring them with renewed strength and hope. With the help of volunteers, donors, and supporters, Make-A-Wish Oklahoma has granted over 4,200 wishes that create unforgettable experiences and provide joy to wish kids and their families, helping them navigate the rest of their treatment journeys on the path to wellness. 

Each year, Tigerpalooza and Norman North’s philanthropy week, SPUD, pledge 10% of our total amounts fundraised to a joint recipient. This year, our crosstown recipient is The Beacon Project! The Beacon Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting chronic childhood hunger and teen homelessness. They provide students in need with supplies to thrive in their educational journeys, as well as food and overall support.
