I tend to doodle with my art, but when I was young I also drew a lot of animals, especially dinosaurs, which I still love to draw today. Lots of details are put into my art pieces, and I usually add lots of different subjects to focus on. The subjects are clumped together, which creates a creative perspective. My favorite mediums to use are colored pencils and alcoholic markers. I try and add cool patterns in the back or some strange elements to the piece. Photography has also always been one of my favorite types of art, and I have a very stylized way of taking pictures. I usually add high contrast or I use very dark tones in the photo to portray a few different feelings. Mostly either sad, uneasy, or scary. When taking pictures of animals my style completely changes, I use bright colors and moderate contrast.
Art gets me in a good mood and always makes me feel good while doing it. Doing art makes me feel proud of myself, mostly because of how much I feel I have improved in such a short amount of time. I continue to do art because I’ve always loved doing art and I started when I was young, so I like comparing my new art to old art to show how much I have grown as an artist. Art is a way of letting myself go and expressing myself fully, it is a great stress reliever, and it's great at reducing bad emotions. Understanding emotions in people’s art can help you understand how the person was feeling when they made the art which can help you find the meaning of the art piece. I try to use my emotions to control how my art looks, so depending on how I'm feeling that is usually how my art is going to turn out. I like seeing the results of my art on happy days versus sad days because of how different the style is.
