Ever since Southeast Academy's new year started back in September the district is planning to merge Southeast Academy with John Glenn. Southeast academy is in problems because this affects the students and the repetition of the school. Then this concerns many people at Southeast Academy because there is going to be one school combined with uniforms and casual clothes. Many parents will be afraid John Glenn students might not like them or might get bullied by. A fellow cadet at Southeast Academy said “Oh.. well I feel like it shouldn’t merge because I don’t think the John Glenn student will get along with sea students because they are gonna think we are taking over the school... it wouldn’t work. The school is just not big enough for us”(CFC Reveles). then another cadet said “I don’t think that it’s a good idea. I think that many people will be affected. I know people from Glenn bully a lot because I know people that go to Glenn and we would be able to do nothing. If we do something we have more consequences while they don’t care they want to get kicked out because if they do they will have no school”(CSC Avalos). As of right now the district is still planning the decision of the merge to be continued.
