Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps
The CPT John T. Hoggard Unit is one of the oldest Navy JROTC programs in the country designated by the Secretary of the Navy on the 19th day of April, 1968. The Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps unit is of company size with over 100 cadets. The unit is under the supervision of CDR David Everette, USNR, Senior Naval Science Instructor, and SSgt Richard Guichardo<USMCR, Naval Science Instructor. The CPT John T Hoggard NJROTC unit is located within Area Six of the Navy Educational Services and Training Command under CAPT Jerry Hupp, USNR. Hoggard's NJROTC company is dedicated to community service in the greater Wilmington geographic area and instilling in students the value of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment. NJROTC purpose is not to recruit for the military, however, for interested high school students, NJROTC will help develop capable future enlisted servicemen and adept officers in all branches of the United States Armed Forces.
