Each year, student council takes on a community project. Many projects focus on and address a need within the school community. For example, several years ago student council created a video that helped demonstrate rules to follow in the school library. The student council also manages the Jack Emery Drive.
This year, the student council has chosen to focus on a project centered within the Milpitas community. Our Student Council Vice President campaigned on the issue of helping animals at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley, so we contacted the HSSV and began creating warmies and blankets for the animals in their care. So far, we have made one delivery of warmies and blankets to the shelter and will be making a second delivery in a few weeks.
